Mazen Salha

Mazen Salha was born in 1969 in Rass El Maten, Lebanon. He first studied at the University College of Aley, and then moved to Murcia, Spain in 1989 to study to become a dental technician. During this time he developed an interest in the oud, and he went on to become associated with the 'Studio El Fan', which enabled him to give many concerts, TV interviews, live TV shows and other special performances. This CD is a tribute to Philemon Wehbe, who composed many songs for the Lebanese singer Fayrouz. It features a selection of his pieces played on oud with orchestral and choral accompaniment. The CD can be purchased from Maqam.com.
